We are graduate students in the Human Health and Nutritional Sciences program at the University of Guelph, trying to navigate our way around higher learning.  Though we’re far from being experts in this field, our aim is to eventually get as close as possible to being one … somehow, eventually.

NUTRInitiative is a student initiative to help make this process a more dynamic and enjoyable one.  Although the breadth of our nutrition knowledge is still a ways away from being “expert,” as students we are trained in the skills of knowledge attainment and dissemination.  The primary function of this blog, therefore, is to serve as a platform by which we can hone these skills.

To this blog we bring our diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives.  In it, we will discuss current issues in health and nutrition, provide insight and guidance in areas where we’re competent, and explore other areas where we’re less so.

If nothing else, this blog will at least keep us students from spending too much time in the pub 🙂
